MISSION The Professional Partner Program's mission is to utilize the wraparound approach to coordinate supports and services in the community for children and young adults with behavioral health needs and to ensure that consumers and their families have a voice and ownership in developing an accessible, comprehansive individualized support plan. PHILOSOPHY The purpose of the Professional Partner Program is to assist families who have an adolescent with a serious emotional disorder. We believe that parents should not have to make their adolescent a ward of the state or incur debt to access services. We also feel that adolescents should remain in their community. Flexible funding is available to help meet the needs of the family. Flex funds are funds that are available to the adolescent and family to create individualized supports that are not traditionally accessible for that need. The Professional Partner uses the "wraparound" process to assist families in building a team dedicated to provide flexible, nontraditional and unconditional care. This team consists of individuals who know the child and family best and are willing to work to help them have a better life. The team will create an individualized support plan that contains a balance of formal and informal community and family resources and supports. The family is seen as the expert regarding their adolescents while professionals act as consultants to the family. We are child centered and family driven. Acting as partners the family and their team will develop and implement a support plan designed to help the family meet their goals.
