Resource Library

Region 3 offers a wide variety of substance abuse prevention materials available to communities and organizations.  In addition to the books, brochures and booklets in the Prevention Resource Library, there are also several visual educational tools and videos.  Plus, many of the materials are available in Spanish or other languages such as Vietnamese..

To receive these materials, please fill out the free materials order form and return it to the contact listed on the form.  Please note that these items are available to NEBRASKA residents only. Visual materials and videos are available for temporary check-out only and must be returned to Region 3.  Region 3 reserves the right to limit quantities of materials provided.  For questions, or specific titles, please call 308-237-5113 ext 265.

Items include:

• Evidence-based substance abuse prevention school curriculum...ATLAS/ATHENA, All-Stars, Project Alert, Project Towards No Tobacco, and Project Northland.

• Brochures/Pamphlets...Tips for Teens on Alcohol, Tobacco, Methamphetamine, Marijuana, etc. Wake up to the Risks of Marijuana, Older Adults and Substance Use Disorders, 150 Ways to Show Kids You Care, and many, many more!

• Videos...The Truth about Drinking, The Truth about Drugs, The Truth about Tobacco, Motivational Videos with Michael Pritchard and much more!

• Tobacco prevention resources include the following visual educational tools: a jar of phlegm, Mr. Gross Mouth, Mr. Dip Lip, Tobacco Institute Hall of Shame display, and many more!

• Alcohol and drug awareness resources include the Fatal Vision Goggles (which show viewers how their vision and driving is impaired by alcohol use) and several videos, including "Life or Meth" and HBO's "Addiction" series.

• Violence prevention materials include the videos "The Teen Files: The Truth About Violence" and "Handling Dating Pressures and Harrassment."
