The governing authority of Region 3 rests with the Regional Governing Board for Region 3 Behavioral Health Services. Its authority is based on Nebraska Revised Statute 71-5001 through 71-5014 (Nebraska comprehensive community Mental Health Services Act), Nebraska Revised Statute 83-158.01 through 83-169 (Division on Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Act), the Interlocal Agreement and the board's bylaws. It is the authority and responsibility of this board to determine the mission, establish policies, approve procedures, and to provide general direction to the Regional Program Administrator.
