Good Day Members of the Human Services TIG!

We hope you are as excited as we are to be getting together in Portland, Oregon in less than two weeks! The AEA Conference is an excellent place to learn something new and to meet other professionals working in the field of Human Services evaluation. We want to let you know about the activities that are going to be there for you at the conference specific to the Human Services TIG.

We will have a TIG Table at the table session on the first day of the conference. We will be at this table to meet with you, and we encourage you to bring materials to the table that you would like to share with others. Perhaps you have just produced a report, book or article that you would like to share, maybe you are with an organization that you want others to know about, and or perhaps you provide special training or consultation in an area of Human Services evaluation that you would like to notify others about - please feel free to use this space. If you are going to bring materials, just let one of us know so that we can plan accordingly.

Our annual TIG meeting will be on Thursday 11.2 from 5:00 - 6:00 pm. Please come and join us as we use this time to more formally network and discuss TIG activities for the upcoming year. We have two resources developed to support the TIG in the coming year that we need you involvement with so we hope to see you at the meeting.

After the meeting, at 8:00 pm Thursday evening we have reserved a table to take ourselves out to dinner at the Bridgeport Brew Pub and Bakery - Oregon's oldest craft brewery - located in the Pearl District. Please join us to enjoy some of the uniqueness of Portland and to connect with colleagues.

Our many, many thanks to Jim Sass for leading this effort - as well as thanks to those of you who reviewed for this years conference, and are functioning as chairs and discussants. The papers, panels and posters are great examples of work in this field.
